FAYETTE, Pa. – The USCAA has announced the associations post-season awards for the 2009-10 Basketball season, and 3 Northern New Mexico College student-athletes received honors.

Junior Eddie Fields from Gary Indiana was named a USCAA first team All-American selection, senior Charles Williams from Indianapolis Indiana received USCAA Honorable mention All-American honors. Sophomore Max Lefevre from Mios France was named to the USCAA academic All-American team. Max has a cumulative GPA of 4.03

This season Eddie Fields averaged 19 points and 9 rebounds per game. He ranks 3rd in the country in defensive rebounds and 5th in rebounding average. Fields had 8 double doubles and led the team in rebound in 12 games. He is shooting a team-high 56% from the field.

Charles Williams ranks 3rd in the USCAA with 5.3 assists per game and is in the top 5 in assist to turnover ration. He also 3rd on the team in scoring at 10 points per game.

7th seed Northern returns to action Thursday at 2pm est. opening the first round of the USCAA national tournament versus 3rd seed Rochester College (MI).
