PETE HITE, HEAD ATHLETIC TRAINER

Pete HitePete Hite, ATC, LAT, is in his third year as the Head Athletic Trainer for Northern New Mexico College. He is a native of La Madera, NM and a graduate of Mesa Vista High School in Ojo Caliente, NM. In 2002 Pete received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of New Mexico.

Since becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) in 2003 Pete has worked as the athletic trainer in several different High Schools (Santa Fe HS, NM; Pojoaque HS, NM; and Kealakehe HS, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii), Minor League Baseball (Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations), professional soccer (Monarcas Morelia, Mexican Premiere League, Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico), and various physical therapy clinics (New Mexico Sports and PT, Santa Fe, NM; Turquoise Trail PT, Santa Fe, NM; Espaņola Sports Medicine, Espaņola, NM). In the fall of 2008 Pete returned home to Northern New Mexico to become the Head Athletic Trainer for the Northern New Mexico College Eagles.

Since 2007 Pete has also served as the Head Athletic Trainer for USA Baseballs 14U and 16U National Teams. He has traveled with 6 different national teams including two Pan American Champion teams (14U in 2007, and 16U in 2010), and most recently the 2011 16U World Champion team.
